I got this softcover from an online seller. It's about a family struggling in the aftermath of the death of their teenage son - especially young Rain, his little sister, who blames herself for his death. [We don't learn the details until late in the story, but it haunts poor Rain throughout.] It's almost a year since Guthrie's death, and Rain's parents have decided to move from their Vermont home to New York City, in hopes that a change of scene will help them all. Rain's upset about this - the city is so different, she's left her closest friend behind, and her parents seem even more at odds than before - but, gradually, she makes new friends, joins the track team, and discovers a sympathetic teacher or two. And when she's ready - trusting her new friends enough - she's able to tell the whole story.

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
