Picked this book from a public bookshelf in Anna Bay, Australia. With high recommandated by bronwyna. So it travel with me far away home to Germany.
Now I discovered that I have a copy in german, too (German Title : Outback). I made my life easy and read the story in german - but I like to re-read (in original) again sometime. such a good story and writing !
An insanely good thriller: well written, holds the suspense until the end, detailed characters that develop or present themselves over the course of the plot, and a great story about guilt and atonement, appearance and truth.
An all around successful debut novel. I'm curious to see if subsequent novels can maintain this quality.
